Only NO and NYG have a higher DVOA out of the shotgun than Carolina...

47% of our passes were from the shotgun against Green Bay. (8 of 17 attempts)

18% of our total plays were from the shotgun against Green Bay. (8 of 44 attempts)

There were 17 pass attempts and 27 run attempts. Run vs Pass balance is skewed because of:

1) 3 rush attempts by DeAngelo at the end of the game running out the clock, and

2) 5 rush attempts because of run bias for goal line offense on the 1 yard line.

After subtracting the necesarry run bias plays, we had pretty good balance.

Almost half of our pass attempts were from the shotgun. Our playcalling was balanced properly between run/pass for the game situations IMO. There is no problem here in not running the shotgun often enough, against Green Bay anyway.

Clearly we are using something that is working.

There is also a point that if something is used to much, it'll be something other teams begin to key on.

I agree. Besides, we run the ball too much to be putting the QB in the shotgun all the time, which is the way Panthers football should be played IMO.
