The library makes itunes obsolete

To his credit, hep is probably "digging in the crates" so to speak...

It is easier to grab a bunch of artists you've either never heard of or care to take the time to seek them out online... You can get some pretty obscure samples if you go this route...

Anything you find online like this, you'll have to search for it specifically... Go into the library, you can just grab a handfull of whatever, and go with it...

I don't know about the boonies, but that'll get you 5-10 where I'm from.

Do they have any rap?

Not the one I was at, but I wouldn't doubt there is rap at some library branch. I've only checked out one. I've already returned the 10 I checked out and checked out another 10.

Yea, I like just listening to music I would have never discovered before, just by chance. I try and go 50-50, with half the music stuff I'm familiar with, and half random stuff. I mean there was a Yanni CD there and I've never heard of him but I think I'll pass on THAT

Just an update...the library has rap. I saw Jay-Z's Black Album, 2Pac All Eyez on Me, and Ice Cube The Predator.

Those are very commercial albums, but I didn't dig enough (or really know about) to see any more underground stuff. The library just kind of collects CDs from all eras and genres, so nothing suprises me there. I have checked out 50 CDs since I posted this thread...it's a gold mine.
