Smh!!!

Fox approves of the defense Mike plays. They both agree on it. I made a thread on that

I really doubt Fox fire Mike. And if do, and get another DC. We probably see the same stuff. I hope that focus yall attention on the whole entire picture and not 1 person

I think Fox is a great coach and I think the players like to go to war for him, but I don't think he has a defense good enough to run his scheme and I don't think he'll change his scheme, which will hurt us down the road.

But no, I don't want a new HC. I do want a defensive staff that will make adjustments and will double-team elite fuging WRs.

This is ridiculous we went freakin 12-4 this year and were one of the best in the league the whole year...we had one bad game and yes it sucks but Fox aint going anywhere. Should changes be made on defense...I think we all agree that they should after we have taken a huge downturn since Fox first took over but Fox is a very good HC and would have a job 2 an hour after we fire him.

If we let go of Fox he would have a new job within 72 hours.

I agree with your statement.

However, we should consider that the reason he is so highly regarded is because of the way he handles the media and the way he communicates the philosophy of the team as defined by the owner.

Fox is the consummate corporate player. The owner wants to keep butts in the seats so that he can maximize his investment. Avoiding controversy does help in that regard. If you can stay around .500 WP and make the playoffs a few times, the fans will keep coming.

Look at Dallas.

Since we broke Michael Irvin's shoulder and busted Deion Sanders's face, they haven't won a playoff game. Yet their franchise is worth over a billion dollars.

So winning the postseason tournament is not necessary to increase the franchise's value.

The owner decides how he wants to improve the value of his investment, and hires middle management to execute that plan.

Fox is a highly regarded coach because he will do what the owner wants him to do.

The Panthers went with a simpler scheme on defense this year that was suppose to let

the athleticism of our defense excel. It looked real good early on but the other teams

had no trouble reading our simplified defense as the season wore on. Hopefully, with the

younger guys having a year together, we can go back to a more complicated defense

that will keep offenses guessing. We have the talent, but do they have the IQ to run

a complex defense?
