I would also put a couple more guys on that list

(Bengals) Dezmon Briscoe: 20, 6'2", 210 lbs. (Will have to beat out a lot of competition)

(Steelers) Limas Sweed: 25, 6'4", 220 lbs., 1-5 yds. (He is better than that)

(Redskins) Malcom Kelly: 23, 6'4", 226 lbs., 25-347 yds. (He would be a good pick up)

Isn't Sweed done for the year already....

I know these guys are all younger we're talking about... Caldwell being my favorite, but the Bengals aren't letting him go. I like Devin Thomas and Malcom Kelly's abilities, but idk about bringing them in and I doubt the Skins give up on both of them.

I honestly would like to bring in Kevin Curtis still to shore up the WR Corps. I'm starting to feel confident in LaFell. When we signed Wright I told everyone he was gonna surprise them (knowing him from Fayetteville), so I think he's gonna contribute too. Edwards will hopefully progress quickly and make some big plays as well. I just don't expect much from Jarrett. But, I would like to add Curtis for insurance and he can run - if healthy.

Love how people say Wright isnt going anywhere. You think we have room to keep a Special teamer that can barely contribute elsewhere? Im not saying he won't make it because he does have a chance like everyone else, but its pretty funny people say he definately will despite the log jam at WR we have and how critical other positions on the team are like keeping an extra DT for rotation and the other logjams we have at RB/FB and DB. Not to mention we're already keeping a kickoff specialist and we might keep a pure returner that cant play anything else as well in Witherspoon.

They will be unless they plan on keeping 8 WR's.

1. Chad Ochocinco

2. Terrell Owens

3. Antonio Bryant

4. Jordan Shipley

5. Dezmon Briscoe

6. Andre Caldwell

7. Matt Jones

8. Quan Cosby

The article that came out on him last week with the Fayetteville Observer had him quoted as saying he was told he 'will be on the team' b/c of his special teams ability, but he also had a chance to play behind Smitty as the #2 WR as it was an open competition.

I would also put a couple more guys on that list (Cuts)

(Bengals) Matt Jones: 27, 6'6", 222 lbs., 65-761 yds., 2 TD's.

(Bengals) Andre Caldwell: 25, 6'0", 195 lbs., 51-432 yds., 3 TD's.

(Redskins) Malcom Kelly: 23, 6'4", 226 lbs., 25-347 yds., 0 TD's.

(Patriots) Sam Aiken: 29, 6'2", 220 lbs., 20- 326 yds., 2 TD's.

(Redskins) Devin Thomas: 23, 6'2", 218 lbs., 25-325 yds., 3 TD's.

(Browns) Sydric Steptoe: 25, 5'9", 200 lbs., 19-182 yds., 0 TD's.

(Rams) Laurent Robinson: 25, 6'2", 197 lbs., 13-167 yds., 1 TD.

(Buccaneers) Reggie Brown: 29, 6'1", 197 lbs., 9-155 yds., 0 TD's.

(Ravens) Demetrius Williams: 27, 6'2", 202 lbs., 8-142 yds., 1 TD.

(Broncos) Brandon Lloyd: 29, 6'0", 194 lbs., 8-117 yds., 0 TD's.

(Jets) Aundrae Allison: 26, 6'0", 198 lbs., 10-109 yds., 0 TD's.

(Giants) Derek Hagan: 25, 6'2", 215 lbs., 8-101 yds., 1 TD.

These are all of the guys that are 6th on their teams depth chart and recorded more than 100 receiving yards last year.

Five of these guys (Jones, Caldwell, Kelly, Aiken, and Thomas) recorded more yards than Jarrett (our second leading receiver on the active roster) did last year.

Nonetheless, I would sign any of these guys if they were cut.

Character issues, injury history, or trade cost = none will be a Panther.

That is certainly an interesting way to look at the WR position.

wright isnt going anywhere. he was brought in specifically for special teams, and will probably be the best special-teamer we have. anything he can do as a wide reciever is just icing on the cake.

Wright is here to stay,we can bank on that fact.Besides being a good spevia teamer he has shown he is a very decent wide receiver.

Exactly. He might be able to make the team as a receiver, let alone a special team beast. He looks to be a real steal at this point.
