If you had to make a decision...

lafell is already working harder than jarrett ever did (or at least harder than he did his first couple years).

jarrett has shown either an inability to work hard or an inability to grasp the offense.

in either case, i don't have a lot of sympathy...at least not enough to keep him around on the team over a prospect like lafell. sure jarrett can catch but can he get himself where the QB needs him to be? can he learn the playbook and where he's supposed to line up and the routes he's supposed to run. at this stage in the game he should have it all sorted out. that he doesn't makes the decision a lot easier to make.

He was the only one to line up on the wrong side all day Friday.

How can the rookies know where they need to be better than a veteran?

He could not do worse if he was trying to get himself cut so he can go back west.

Sad....that really sours that draft which I think is still really strong.

If Lafell is a better runbloker (he is) and can play on special teams he would contribute more than Jarrett. Jarrett is just not that special or versatile.

I think Jarrett might get cut...but my thing is that it's becoming more and more obvious that we might have to trade for a wideout before the season starts...much the same was we got leonard and Tyler. I figured we would be talking about how much help the defensive line was but I never thought receiver would be so bad. Kinda makes you wish we had drafted another legit receiver instead of a 2-3 year project in the third round.

i'd cut steve smith... it's like a mercy kill. put him out of his misery and let him go to a team with an actual chance of winning.

:sifone: Then he goes to the Chiefs because they offer him the biggest contract and they go on to have a worse season than the Panthers. lol

What's funny is that the Panthers felt they'd hit the lottery when Jarrett fell to them in the second round that year.

and totally ignored a guy named Steve Smith who now has a pro bowl. When he was in the draft I said we should draft Smith for the Simple fact we could have too of them.
