4-12? What are you smoking? I'm seriously beginning to believe that Carolina has the biggest fairweather fan base in the NFL. We went 12-4 against a tough schedule. We had one bad game and all the sudden we're going to be one of the worst teams in the NFL even though we'll have almost the exact same team next year? Get a grip.

It's funny to me that people obviously have NO IDEA what the term "fairweather fan" means.

Not only are you the one smoking something, but apparently not much is going on between your ears either.

We had ONE bad game? Your joking right? You think this is our first bad game this year?

Now if you answered yes to those questions, congratulations, it's obvious you did not watch the panthers play this year.

We didn't have a tough schedule

Hey, but by all means continue to impress me with your severe lack of knowledge.

Next year we have the second hardest schedule in the league, and won't have the lions, chiefs, or raiders on there to snag some free wins.

We play one team next year that had a losing record, 7-9 Buffalo.

Excellent point.

Besides, I'd still rather be beaten like a red-headed step child on national television, in the playoffs, at home, in the most humiliating fashion imaginable...than to be a Cowboy fan.

Perspective folks...perspective.

Sometimes things happen, and franchises don't recover for a couple seasons.

When leaders shat the bed, and the team loses it's faith in them.

When icons, decide they would rather be somewhere else...

When 1st round picks, who finally get it right, leave for a big pay-day.

When the reality that the same ole sh*t just isn't going to ever work set's in.

I am as down right now as I have ever been on Panthers Football. Usually I can see the silver lining after any loss, but today, reading Peppers talking about leaving, knowing Gross is the best LT on the FA market this year, wondering how I can ever have faith in #17 and the coaching staff again.

/wrists:shocked:

Pep's interviews on tv tonight tell me he's gone. Done. It isn't about money for him based on what he's saying. Buh-bye.

If I were him, I'd say that I'd stay provided that Turd goes. Turd is killing him. If I had to subscribe to that philosophy, I'd be unmotivated too.

To me it's pretty simple.

Fire Trgo and replace him with a strong minded young coach who will not just be an extension of Fox and his philosophy. I want the team to continue Foxball, but I don't want Fox trying to be a HC and assistant DC at the same time.

Improve D-line depth and pass rush though the draft and FA.

Bring in some talent and have an open competition for starting QB

Actually, I'd like to see Fox callling the defensive plays. Turd is a turd. Last year when Fox started sitting in on defensive meetings, film-watching, and planning, our D was much better.

Turd should be outta here tomorrow. But Fox's pride will not allow for that.

Knowing how this organization rolls, the last thing you will see is an open compeition for starting QB. I think they shy away from that type of controversy and media attention. I dont think Fox wants to fire Trgo, I dont think he should anyway, Trgo is just a figurehead extension of his defense. Me personally I dont care what changes we make, Im at peace with the fact we will never win a title with John Fox as our coach and will just tough it out til he's fired in a few years.

Seriously, when Fox took over the D last year, look at how we did. Turd sucks.

Have you looked at our schedule for next season??? Brutal.

Actually we were tied for the second hardest schedule in the NFC this year. http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/nfcsosag.html

That was the honest truth.

Kurb-

You sir are suffering from "Huddleitice"---

Dont listen to all the doom and gloom. Thats why I have said before that "the huddle is where real fans go to die", because of all the negative crap.

Hold your head up man. We will be right back into the thick of things.

I have faith in Richardson, he knows what it takes to win and he will make sure to see it happen.

And we DO have Double Trouble. Thats good for 8 wins by itself. ;)

unfortunately, i can see a losing record. Atlanta, New Orleans (if they get some defensive players. Also, they went 8-8 with 19 on IR) will be good next year.

I can easily see us getting 3rd place in the division with the tough schedule (I think Tampa will fall apart with Monte leaving and old vets retiring)

Can we please send Turd to New Orleans? :D

Can't say I'd blame him if he left. Pep knows how good he is, he'll also know if he feels his talent is being wasted here, he can go to a contender AND get paid. A win-win for him, and he absolutely deserves it.

Could be the real reason he never signed an extension here in the first place. Maybe there is more than meets the eye with this extension halt. Every person has secret interests they won't even tell their best friends, let alone trusted teammates.

    • This was a good breakdown from Daniels.  Last year has had a lasting impact on Young. He still isn't getting the time needed from the OL - the OL we have is made to establish the run and for the run to be in play.  We get behind and have to throw all game we are doomed with this O-line. His receivers have to catch the ball when he makes a good throw to them, he can't have them dropping his good passes. Why are we running 4 slants all toward the same direction?  Why a triple option on 4th and 1? That's on the coaches. Bryce gets hurried and starts slinging the ball where it shouldn't be thrown, more study and recognition from him are needed.  Bryce doesn't step up in the pocket and throws too soon and unbalanced.  He over and under throws the ball because of it.  That's on him.  If the pocket isn't there and he can't get his base set he needs to check down or "live to fight another day." He has been thrown to the wolves and has lost his confidence.  This team doesn't have much, if any, talent and it's a cluster.  I think he can still be an NFL QB.  Maybe not a QB1 in the short term, but if he has a chance with better coaching and personnel he may be better than we are giving him credit for. I think we ruined him last year and have not fixed anything to help him this year.  If we can't run or get way behind all NFL defenses are coming after him.  Dalton has more respect and defenses didn't always sell out to get to him because he'd hit a quick slant, screen, or check down because he has the experience to know what's coming and what to do. Just my 2 cents.
    • All depends on who the backup is. Josh Allen probably would have been benched too if there were better backups than Matt Barkley and Nate peterman.
    • Where did I once say we should draft him because he's a projected Top 5 pick?   That's one of my many problems with you, your reading comprehension skills are very poor (and/or you just don't care to use your brain, one of the two).  I solely used that to point out that me pushing T-Mac isn't some absurd homerism, that at least I'm pushing someone who is deserving of a Top 5 draft pick. And despite me explaining it to you numerous times, you still seem to not grasp how QB's get placed in mock drafts vs draft grades.  They are treated entirely different in mock drafts to any other position, because of how teams generally treat them in the draft because of how important the position is. Literally any other position except QB, mock drafts generally follow draft grades with some team needs factored in.  But with QB's, draft grades are generally disregarded and they ALWAYS put a few QB's at the very top of the draft, because that's just usually what happens.  The exact same thing happened in 2022 with guys like Pickett and Willis widely being Top 10 picks in mock drafts, only for Pickett to fall to what, around 20?, and Willis going in the 2nd round (and even being the 3rd QB if I remember correctly too). The overwhelming majority of draft experts are saying there isn't a high first round grade on these QB's, but they still get mocked there because they're trying to predict how the draft will actually go. That's been my point the entire time, reaching for a QB in a bad QB draft when you have a roster as depleted of talent as ours, does not tend to work out well. And I've never said I'm not open to other players, I've very explicitly said that if a QB or DE stands out come draft time, I'm open to that discussion.  That I'd be open to Hunter as a CB but I prefer a WR over a CB at the top of the draft.  But we're also not talking about the 15th pick here where there could realistically be all sorts of possible picks to discuss.  With the first pick, there really would only be a small handful of options, T-Mac is head and shoulders above any other given our current roster and state of the franchise in general.
