You called this a ways back...nice call!

I figured we'd look for a young DT in free agency--only a few of them available, but you know what they say about blind squirrels.

Now they're saying he isn't signed yet. Close but not done. And he has other options.

This place will go crazy....

I saw that but Schefter said it's going to get done. We shall see.

So do we put a AShawn at nose and have Brown and Milton at  the end spots in a 3-4 or do we go to a 4-3 and have brown n Milton as the tandem. Sure they'll mix it up but wonder what the base formation  will be. We could cause havoc regardless.

Former Jets offensive tackle Morgan moses has agreed to terms on a three-year, $24 million deal with the Patriots, according to NFL Media. New England's offensive line wasn't very good last season, but it should be somewhat better this year with Moses now in the fold. The Patriots surrendered 52 sacks in 2024, which was tied for the fifth-most in the NFL.

Moses has been solid, but he's 34, so the Patriots will probably continue to look for ways to upgrade their offensive line.

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
