This is some decent perspective.  Milton would have been great for passing downs, but he's not a full time player...  In 4D chess terms, maybe the Panthers leaked the $20 figure (when Milton was wanting $24+) to see who else would pay more and get it out of their hands?  Man, that's some painful mental gymnastics.

But good on Milton for getting the bag.  This is a strong front 7 draft so let's work on developing young talent.

FA did just start.

Didn't you know, the season is already over!  Because we didn't win the super bowl in the first couple hours of tampering, it's time to fire everyone and look for 2026 QBs!

(Typical huddle over reaction) 😃

S. Sanders will fall all the way down to the Steelers in the 1st rd. Will they take him? That's my surprise of the draft.

Highly doubtful. Based on talent I agree, but in a two QB1 draft...he ain't dropping to #21.  Especially after the Kenny Pickett debacle at #19 in a one QB1 draft.

After beefing up their offensive line with three new additions over the past week, the Bears have now turned their attention to their defense. Former Colts DE Dayo Odeyingbo has agreed to terms on a three-year, $48 million with the Bears. Odeyingbo is a big man -- he's listed at 6-6, 287 pounds -- and it probably won't be hard for new Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to work him into his system.

So far, but considering we have none on the roster, that's a good start.

Seems like a good player, don’t know much about him.  I figured we would be slightly more aggressive with the number of holes we have.

id rather not go into the draft “needing” to fill the roster.

This much isn't an overreaction.

We got a C, TE, CB and a S so far. The 1st 3 were our own players.

I get the feeling the Panthers aren’t going to be as aggressive this year as they were last year. This offseason will set us up nicely for 2027-27, when we’ll have considerably more cap space.

Earlier today, we mentioned that Milton Williams had agreed to a deal with the Patriots that was worth $26 million per year, but we didn't have the specific terms. Well, now we do. According to ESPN.com, the former Eagles star is getting a four-year, $104 million contract that includes $63 million in guaranteed money.

Williams had been working to finalize a deal with the Panthers, but in the end, the Patriots basically gave him $63 million reasons to ditch Carolina.

In typical Panthers fashion, we have way more holes than cap space.  Tight funds can hinder a shopping spree.
