Sorry, I am still cracking up that Panthro is a State fan. :rofl:

Don't let him lie to you about it. He is a State fan but only by accident.

Panthro is color blind and for years thought he was pulling for Duke. If not for the sub-standard school system he would have been able to read the names on the jersey, alas he could not so he went by the colors.

As a small illeterate child he could not understand why everyone always pointed and laughed at him when he wore is favorite teams jersey's and hats. Later in life, once it was realized that he was a color-blind feeb, people tried to help him make the switch to a real team. Panthro by this time was too bitter and hurt from years of mockery and refused to switch teams.

In his mind to this day he still thinks about Duke when he slips on a NC State jersey.

AE's first college snap was in the 4th quarter of the State game, of which he moved the ball pretty well, actually much better than the starter who was puking on the sideline...

There's a pretty cool write up that USA Today or someone wrote back then talking about that game and how Armanti learned after the game that his dad had killed a man. AE ultimately goes on to beat every freshman record Vince Younge ever had and then won a National Championship.
