Recieving backfield

Recommended Posts

Goodson and Sutton both apparently showed some impressive pass catching abilities today at camp. Not necessarily because of this, but more the fact that any passes at all were being thrown to the third and fourth string rushers this early on, does this mean that having recievers in the backfield will factor a little bit more into the gameplans we see this year?

I think we'll see them worked in more. Stewart and Williams have also shown themselves to be good receivers when needed. I'd especially like to see Goodson in the slot, since Edwards may need a little more time to acclimate himself to the position.

I think we'll see more passes to our backs and tight ends than we have in quite some time.

Goodson a hybrid, not surprising. We been saying he should be slot

Now Sutton I'm just hearing about. Was he catching passes down the field

Couldn't tell ya. Wasn't there. Everyone who was seems to be talking up the catches they were making though. Which makes me wonder, because we weren't talking about running backs making great catches this early last year.

Goodson really hasn't shown much ability as a RB so he's probably not going to see much out of the backfield.

That one 3rd down conversion against the Giants was the only play he made all season.

Sutton made more plays as a RB and on passes out of the backfield. He's the one to watch.
