Peter King is deplorable. I defy you to find a national sportswriter who consistenly churns out more vapid, useless and generally unreadable drivel with such consistency.

What a waste of resources. There are sportswriters all over this country who would kill for his credentials and access, but he still cranks out drivel with amazing consistency.

His weekly column has to be junk. It's

1. made for casual fans for the most part...

2. he has to fill like 7 pages up and usually on has 2-3 with NFL information on them. The rest of is his thoughts, quotes and other crap..

Those first 2-3 pages with actual information on them are usually pretty good.

Peter King thinks we will surprise some folks this year. he made a really good comments on Matt Moore in the MMQB column this week. his predictions are usually garbage, but i respect him as a journalist, unlike one guy with a website i used to get posts from

It will at least be interesting to see what he has nice,or not so nice,about the panthers after his visit. I will probably not be impressed with what he says,one way or the other.

This. I think the actual football stuff in his column is good. he usually always includes a few interviews he does on Sundays. i usually skip for any mention of the panthers. but i usually read it

I always thought he had a bit of an arrogance about him... Especially concerning our team. He has a few nice things to say about us each year but, he doesn't give us as much press as we should get for the things that have gone on each year - as others have mentioned - you can't get much bigger than your biggest offensive weapon being suspended for punching a teammate out... Or DLo/JStew's 1,000+ yds each... Stuff like that.

Also, I know he's got a lot of followers on Twitter, so I'm sure that's hard to keep up with, but I've sent him several different 'tweets' asking about possible signings, or any rumblings he's heard about us and he's never responded.

I used to respect him, but much like other 'respected' media outlets of years past, I really could care less what he has to say anymore - they're all just a bunch of talking heads blabbering whatever they hear from whoever b/c they sense their career path is on the verge of extinction.
