The Miami Heat appears poised for a reunion with 3-point specialist Eddie House.

According to Yahoo! Sports, House has agreed to a 2-year contract at the NBA veterans minimum of $1.4 million per season.

House, a fan favorite during Pat Riley's early coaching days with the team, would become the fifth guard under guaranteed contact with the team .

House split last season between the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks, ending the season as a free agent.

House becomes the 14th player under guaranteed contact to the Heat for the coming season, and the 16th player under contract overall. NBA teams can dress a maximum of 12 players on game night and carry a maximum of 15 in the regular season,. Teams may carry as many as 20 players in the offseason,

House would become the third 3-point specialist on the roster, joining Washington Wizards free-agent acquisition Mike Miller and returning Heat free agent James Jones.

The Heat has been seeking additional outside shooting to help open the court for prime scorers Dwyane Wade , LeBron James and Chris Bosch.

House's popularity during his previous Heat tenure reached the point where fans were wearing "free Eddie House" T-shirts to encourage Riley to give additional playing time to the former second-round draft choice.

Eddie House brings championship experience and great outside shooting to this Miami Heat ballclub. Pat Riley continues to put the pieces together for this squad. Go ahead and hand him Exec Of The Year.

Eddie House is one bad dude. I was a big fan of his when he played for... the Miami Heat. Heat used to be mediocre, but Riley always picks classy guys who know the game. Eddie Jones, Caron Butler, Brian Grant, Rasual Butler, Eddie House, Rod Strickland, Travis Best, Jim Jackson, Bruce Bowen, etc. Fun teams to watch.

On the other hand I have no interest in seeing Wade-Bosh-James play, but with Mike Miller and Eddie House, I'll have a reason to tune in.
