Some guys have that ability in them and some don't. Can you imagine how terrible Jordan would have been as a HC? Probably even worse than he was as a talent evaluator.

I was under the impression that it did not end well.  Of course, there's always Matt Millen.  As President and GM/President, he was a combined 31-97-0.

People who do not like Tremble are focusing on his receiving--the least impressive aspect of his arsenal.  Not blocking, not special teams.   He is probably getting paid market.

do yourself a favor and don't even think about the cap ramifications of signing a single digit millions guaranteed two year deal. they offered to let him hit the market, they got a sense of the market, and decided it made more sense to get it done before the start of free agency.

in terms of big picture roster management, this is a nothing burger. Tremble is a perfectly acceptable player with some upside who showed a lot more once the quarterback play got more consistent. funny how that works! 

he'll be either TE2 or TE 1B for the next two years. if he sees $16M, he'll have earned it and no one will complain. 

move on. the real insane contracts are coming starting tomorrow.
