In a game time situation, do you guys really want Moore to be in there over Jarrett? That's what it comes down to.

Player 1:

In his 4th year with the Panthers, still struggling with playbook, hasn't done crap, great against 3rd string Defense of the Saints, runs with the frightening speed of a Hoveround and would line up next to a Hyundai in the parking lot if not babysat. No special teams capability.

Player 2:

In his 2nd year with the Panthers, hasn't done crap during a game, having good camp, knows playbook. Some special teams capability. Muffed a punt once, so morally a bad person.

Decisions, decisions.

There is a lot of undeserved hate for certain Panthers on this board... Jarrett and Hayden are among them...

Jarrett will make the roster... Smith, Jarrett, LaFell, Moore, Edwards, and Wright for sure... Gettis or someone else might also, but to think that Gettis makes it over Jarrett is a long shot to me... He'll be stashed on the practice squad if we want to hang onto him...

Wright sticks in the old Karl Hankton spot, but with better receiving skills it seems...

Jarrett and Moore have experience in the offense if something were to happen to Smith... We won't tread on that thin ice by having Kenny Moore as potentially our only veteran WR...

People can't get over Moore's fumble that one time. I seem to remember our win over the redskins being attributed, by many, to Moore's huge kickoff return later in the game, bringing back our momentum when we were down 15. Yea he can be blamed for losing a game for us, but so can Dwill. Just sayin, I dunno what this aversion to Moore is.

It was hot. Real hot. Coach John Fox said the heat index on the field was 108 degrees. DT Ed Johnson was carted off the field with a heat-related issue. It was a precautionary measure, Fox said.

2. WRs Brandon LaFell and Wallace Wright worked as the first-team receivers for the vast majority of practice while Kenny Moore and Dwayne Jarrett ran second team.

3. Every now and again you’re reminded why the Panthers took Jarrett in the second round. On Tuesday he made a leaping grab between two defenders in the end zone. If only he did that on a more consistent basis we wouldn’t be talking about who the No. 2 receiver will be this season

      Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.

      Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
