Official Training Camp News Thread...

It sounds like the work he's putting in is paying off. Either that, or the rest of our receivers make him look good by comparison.

Yeah, it's hard to tell really.

Remember that he looked great in TC and preseason last year and then had a rough go of things in the regular season, especially once he muffed that punt that (along with another pathetic Jake showing) cost us the game against...I want to say Buffalo but I'm not sure. Wasn't he deactivated after that?

carolinagrowl LaFell just made an incredible one-handed catch behind his head. That's encouraging.

carolinagrowl Nice catch by Barnidge down the middle.

daringantt Maybe we're taking our eye off the ball, rather than worry about WRs, just throw to the TEs. They're better.

carolinagrowl Very physical practice today. Guys are into it.

This isn't the first time we've heard that from Gantt, and it's a little disheartening. I realize that even our youngest tight-end has more experience than most of our receivers, but I just hope somebody can step up behind Smith.

So far Moore seems the most impressive and consistent, with LaFell making some nice grabs and also some drops. After that, who knows?

Gantt recants...

carolinagrowl Finally, an Armanti sighting. Just made a sweet sliding grab.

daringantt And as soon as I crack on the WRs, LaFell makes highlight. He's far ahead of Edwards now, but he should be. AE just got a nice one though.

carolinagrowl Goodson looking blazing fast.

I hope we actually throw to the TE this year.

I agree. It needs to be utilized more with those open seams down the middle where the one safety is up and the other doubling Smitty. Can be a tough throw, but Moore has done it. Couple with nice-handed TEs...could be huge.

daringantt If you took the names off the QB jerseys and watched these four, you'd pick Matt Moore, 10 out of 10 times.

carolinagrowl Team drills now over. Halftime. Offense looked very good today.

This quote is what i like to hear hopefully moore and the offense can continue to improve. IDK who we gonna pass deep to beside smith i think we might focus more on medium 10 to 20 yards passes this traing camp
