Overlooked Offense?

The NFL media will always report on what best suits the NFL or they will not be NFL media for long. With an undrafted starter at QB and and a run-run-run attack complimented by an overachieving midget and a host of unknowns at receiver the Panthers will never get lots of cred for their offensive prowess.

Letting the media dictate how you feel about your football team only works if you are a fan of about 4 teams in the NFL or one of the Cowboys' sheep. Outside of that you have to have the faith of a real fan. I realize that is difficult for most who will read this but it happens to be reality.

Flash gets press. Worthy or not. How many examples would you like?

For the record, I was talking about the media, but mainly our own fans as well as football fans in general about recognizing a lot of the talent we have on the offensive side of the ball

Rosario can still make some plays when healthy, we got Barnidge coming up. I remember that play we ran with Goodson in the Giants game where he converted the 3rd down. That was a great call wit someone as fast as Goodson is. I'm interested to see the situations he's used in. Edwards of course and we got a big possession receiver in Jarrett. Of course Steve, add the running game and you looking at a surprise offense. Hearing Matt talk about doing different things on offense was interesting

We have improved our passing offense on paper only. If it doesn't translate to the field, this team's offense is not a whole lot better than last year outside of more consistent QB play.

sooner or later, people will realize that that's all this team needs to be successful.

it doesn't matter who is under center.

minimize mistakes. execute the big plays.

I like Matt Moore and I want him to succeed really bad. But, honestly, I don't give a poo who starts. If they play good enough to get this team to its highest potential, then I don't care who starts at QB. We have enough receivers on the roster right now that, statistically, one of them HAS to be good enough to be a #2 receiver. Jordan Gross and Jeff Otah are 100% for the first time EVER. We have two pro bowlers on the O-Line and two players that could easily make it there this year. The entire O-Line is healthy and ready. We have the BEST RB tandem in the league and an interesting battle for the #3 RB spot between the speedy Goodson and the tough and versatile Sutton. We have the most underrated group of TEs in the league. Our FB is the only question that I have, though I'm not worried. Fiametta showed that he can get the job done last year. At least good enough for our two monster RBs to make big plays.

The offense is almost guaranteed to put up big numbers.

I love how people stick to words like "unproven". What the hell did you think Delhomme was when he came to Carolina. Hell you didnt see ATL worry about there Matt being "Unproven"... Or the Ravens Worry about there Rookie QB being "unproven". The Chargers replaced Brees with an "unproven" QB named Phillip Rivers and they have been alright.

Those players have now "proven" themselves. And when the Chargers replaced Brees with Rivers their fans had doubts.

I'm not saying Moore won't be good, I'm saying that I'll believe it when I see it.
