How much dicking around on the internet is allowed at work?

Not as much as I used to on work computers. Mostly though because with my Droid and Sprint I can do whatever the hell I please.

All my bosses care about is that I get my work done. Sometimes that means I have no time on internet but lunch. Sometimes it means no internet at all. Some times it means hours of internet.

That's the way it should be IMO. Its not unusual for me to see my boss watching youtube vids, either.

When I first started, I had almost nothing to do at work. That's when I joined the huddle. And the rest they say is history.

I think the real question is how much work is acceptable when you're dicking around.

You don't want to do too much... It'll ruin your day.

But if you don't do enough you run the risk of getting fired.

I've been slowly decreasing my time on the web both at work and home over the past year or so after spending way too much time on it for the previous 5-10 years.
