Larry Brown?

Hmmm, Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, Chauncy Billups, Rip Hamilton, and Tayshaun Prince. All in their primes. Not too shabby.

All of which have been at some time All-Star quality players but none of which have ever been super stars.

No Kobe, Garnett, Pierce, DWade, T Duncan, etc.

The talent level on that Detroit team is similar to what has been assembled in Atlanta.

What NBA coach could take Atlanta to a Championship?

Ya'll are cracking me up. Detroit lost the Eastern Conference Finals the year before Brown got to Detroit, won the Finals, lost the Fianls the second year Brown was their and lost the Eastern Conference Finals the year after Brown was gone. The year following Brown's departure the Pistons won 10 more regualr season games (64 total) than the previous year when Larry Brown was there.

The team they lost to in the East Finals in 2005 without Brown? The 2005 NBA Champion Miami Heat. Who did they have to beat when they won the Finals with Brown? Milwaukee, New Jersey and Indiana.

Timing is everything.

Larry Brown sucks. He has just had really good timing for 30 years as a head coach. ;)
