With the addition of Oswalt and Brown (as long as they keep him up), I don't see the 3.5 being enough for the Braves. It is like the team and fanbase is recharged again. Lets just hope every passes the physicals.

They should have thrown in Kendrick for free.

MLB Network is reporting that Oswalt will debut tomorrow night.

ESPN.com's Jayson Strark reports that the White Sox are on the verge of acquiring pitcher Edwin Jackson from Arizona . The deal could be a prelude to a second deal that would send Jackson to the Nationals for Adam Dunn.

The White Sox and Nationals have both talked to Arizona extensively this week about Jackson , and to each other about Dunn. However, a source familiar with the discussions said the White Sox are still kicking around the idea of keeping Jackson as a replacement for the injured Jake Peavy in their rotation. So the source described the chances of this turning into a three-way deal as "moderate."

Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com first reported earlier this morning that the teams are in serious discussions and that a trade for Jackson was close.

in a post deadline move, the phillies aquire mike sweeney. this is a good move considering howard is on the DL for a little bit.
