Predict DeAngelo and Jonathan's (each) yardage this season...

i think fox is going to go with his power runner this season, but williams will get more touches than an average back-up on another team would get. probably 60-40 or so ratio.

Is Fox going to go with his "power-runner" because D-Will has been so unsuccessful the past couple seasons? Bull. D-Will is the starter and will continue to be as long as he's here. And this crap about Stewart being a "power runner" and Williams being a "speed back" is completely unfounded. They have almost exactly the same running style. Both are physical and can pound it up the middle but both have the speed and quickness to hit a home run on the outside. They are both complete running backs.

i foresee stewart getting the significant edge on carries, and a slight edge in yards. here's why:

with moore as a provably reliable option at quarterback, the passing attack will be a much more viable threat on offense. it's reasonable to suppose that williams, as the starter behind such a great offensive line and the play action threat of moore/smith/WR2, will help spring the panthers out to early leads.

fox is a ball-control kinda guy, and stewart, as a between-the-tackles sledgehammer-downhill-runner, fits the mold of the team perfectly. he'd be the guy who fox brings in to play ball control... pound the rock on an eight-man front desperate to stop the run and get the ball back.

so if the offense is good and scores points quickly and consistently, i think we'll see williams with the majority of the yards in the first halves of the games, with stew catching up - slightly less yards, but more carries - in the second half.

my prediction is they run for sixteen thousand yards total and we win the superbowl three years in a row.

Williams--1295

Stewart--1050

My guess will depend on both RB's remaining healty this season.

Is that along with the 3200 yrds 28 TDs that matt moore is going to give us as well... along with the top 10 defene? Isnt that what you said on the CO?

Damn, we should have gotten all those monday night games!!!

Williams 1440 16 TDs

Stewart 960 8 TDs

Pretty much D-lo heavy prediction, but if everything is working, including staying healthy and in the passing game, this would probably be the desired outcome.

This may be the last year of the Williams/Stewart combo...
