Fox has gotten us to the superbowl and a championship game, I think he has it in him.

Meeks D was a big reason the colts got to the superbowl in 2006.

Davidson was a coach during the pats dynasty.

Now I'm sure most NFL teams have plenty of coaches who have been on Superbowl winning teams, but still our coaches have all been there pretty recently.

I think they can do it.

I have to like your very positive outlook.Points well taken.

Your answer?

No.

He's not.

These type of fans are typically breeded with low self esteem, thereforth spending a lot of times in front of the TV. Once that happens, they believe that you must indeed have a team full of "teh all-starzz lyk T.o." to be a succesful team, after all, ESPN told them that this was true.

These fans, typically don't have a long lifespan, and will quickly go exctinct from forums, usually from either being banned, or because the amounts of insults they receive lowers their self esteem even further.

The moral of the story is, the more you call them out on their idiot posts-the faster you can get rid of them.

Nah we are actually known as the smart and realistic fans. You know the kind that understands the difference between a rebuilding team and a super bowl team and aren't afraid to call it like they see it. Unfortunately the homer fans like yourself that only understand the words "rah rah rah" are usually intimidated and often feel threatened by us because they are either too insecure about their favorite team or their lack of football knowledge. These are probably the same fans that predicted a super bowl win before the 1 - 15 season

There is a difference between realism and pessimism.

I think at the end of the day, all of us are a little too optimistic. Should we, as a fan base, be excited and optimistic? Yes. But let's keep it in check. Its easy to say "super bowl or bust". I personally think we CAN win 10 games. But a lot has to go our way.

Moore has to be what he was last year (and maybe a little more) in order for us to win 10+.

No injuries. At least nothing long term. We would be OK to lose just about anybody but Moore for a week. Stewart goes down, we have Williams, and vice versa.

We need our swagger back. No flinching! If a team has a 3 play, 80 yard drive on us for a TD, we have to go back out and have a quick drive ourselves. Personally, I've missed that 03 swagger that made us so great.

Of course, special teams and coaching have to be great.

If all of these happen (and none of them are unrealistic..) then we are looking at a 10+ win season, given our schedule and talent level. Super Bowl? Who knows. But at the very least, we are a WC team. This is just MY opinion.

Smart?

Who has called you smart, may I ask?

So far, all I see is a bunch of reliable posters, call out your idiot posts as the nonsense they are.

Sorry my friend.

This team is going to continue to sign players who are reliable, talented, quiet players.

We're never going to sign players like T.O.

Or any other media-***** that I know you'd LOVE for us to pick up.

After all, big name players are the only way to the big game, am i right or am i right?

Please.

Nobody wants your stupid posts infecting this forum

It makes the rest of us look bad.

Piss off.

Growl makes a valid point... :lurk5:

...also the people on this board who tag themselves as "realists" are in fact pessimists.

The realists are the ones with the least radical comments and theories which means that their posts are uninteresting and fade into the background (even if they are correct).

This generally means that the pessimists (with their prickish attitudes) tend to be viewed as "realists" and the optimists share a similar, but opposite fate.

So, to all the dicks out there who have nothing good to say, ever: you are not being realistic - you are being more of a buzzkill than Buzz Killington. It's better to be optimistic (but not blind) than an annoying douche.
