This year will be the most interesting in Panthers History

john kasay was the reason we got there, not the reason we lost.

it's not like his kickoff automatically put the patriots in fg range..the d gave the yards to put them there. if you're gonna blame anyone, blame the d.

Not really playing soft but, Brady's game was the short dumps and they gave them to their O

And on a unrelated topic why do people keep giving themselves pie

The last time we changed QBs, we went to the SB. This should be a playoff season for us, given our history under Fox. We've always had a good season after a disappointing one under him. We play a much weaker schedule compared to last year's (though our division opponents will all be very tough). I believe we are one of the youngest teams in the league now. Moore is entering his 4th year, and all with the same team. He knows our system and personnel. He's done quite well when given the opportunity. If he holds on to the ball, and our special teams are much improved over last year (our ST's lost as many games for us as did Jake's miscues with the ball), we will contend. Our defense really came on in the second half of last year.

We certainly have the building blocks for a good run. If we should experience some serious injuries, especially to Moore, then it could be a long year. I don't see another 8-8season. If we stay healthy, I think we can win at least 10 games.

I don't know why of defeense has to be great. Yes, we need to have our defense play well enough to get turn overs, and make critical stops. They don't have to be great. Although with a young dline, you never know. All that young energy and I'm sure a desire to prove themselves.

I'm with squirrel. This should be a very exciting season.

I dont understand how anyone can possibly predict a super bowl win or even a playoff appearance for that matter this season when we have the youngest and least experience team in the league. A few years from now this could be a very good team indeed once John Fox is gone. But the panthers are most likely to take a big step backthis year before they become legit contenders for the SB. Its silly to expect a team full of rookies and career backups to suddenly become a super bowl calibre team over night with such little experience. The only thing really interesting about this season is the fact that its John Fox's last one in Carolina. Quite frankly, that is the only thing that is keeping me interested this year.

I think everyone agrees that our offense should be pretty good this year. We have a GREAT run game combined with a competent quarterback. That alone should make us able to compete with most teams. Add in Steve smith and some young talented WR's and I think we will at least see some exciting shootouts this year and who knows, maybe our defense surprises and gets some pressure on the QB. If that happens all of the sudden...we are a contender :willy_nilly:

This team is extremely talented and I think the whole season lies on the shoulder of the d-line. If the d-line plays mediocre we win 8 games. If the d-line plays bad we win 6 games. If the d-line comes out and gets consistent pressure and stops the run better then last year we win 10+. Our secondary and linebackers are very talented and with help from the d-line it will only make them better.

I do not think out WR are that big of an issue because we have Smith and a run first team. We made it to the NFC Championship game with Smith-Colbert-Carter and a wrose running game. I really believe the whole season is in the hands of Brayton-Tyler-Leonard-Johnson/Brown. If they fail we fail, if they succeed we succeed.

Are you really a Panther fan? Or are you always 'The glass is half empty and tastes like piss anyway'? I thought you were slightly entertaining in the Edwards thread, but breeding all this negativity is not healthy... Maybe, if Fox does lose his job this season, then maybe you might have something positive to say..? Possibly? Damn, thats a while to wait. Carry on with your Redskins-like outlook...

Your answer?

No.

He's not.

These type of fans are typically breeded with low self esteem, thereforth spending a lot of times in front of the TV. Once that happens, they believe that you must indeed have a team full of "teh all-starzz lyk T.o." to be a succesful team, after all, ESPN told them that this was true.

These fans, typically don't have a long lifespan, and will quickly go exctinct from forums, usually from either being banned, or because the amounts of insults they receive lowers their self esteem even further.

The moral of the story is, the more you call them out on their idiot posts-the faster you can get rid of them.

This is the result of being life-long NC State fan.
