To all the DJ Haters

If that happens op ill quit posting on the huddle and become not-thesaltman.

Can we modify the bet? Cause i will bet you that DJ exceeds the all time low expectations of many on here. Lefell is gonna be good but it is gonna take a year or two. DJ is still very young and despite the beliefs of those on here that hate on him, very talented. Jake the Mistake and our reliance on the run handicapped his career. Do not be surprised to see a little more creativity in our offense this year. Lefell and Jarrett on the outside with Smith in the slot???? Dwayne Jarrett stats for 2010 prediction by me.

645 yrds and 5td's.

It doesn't matter if Moore looks his way first, he still has to get open. He was playing against backups in the Saints game iirc. I'm an optimistic person by nature and I'll remain optimistic for DJ but it's a very very very cautious optimism.

I'm really pulling for the guy. With a body like his, he's almost always open. What we have seen before can be thrown out as far as I'm concerned. The kid did not score 30+ TDs in the pac 10 in the early 2000's on luck.

just be patient and root for the kid to live up to potential and take advantage of a fair shake and a new life with a real QB.

I agree, he has the potential and the motivation. The problem is that when he has a decent year this season, Rosenhaus will be looking to help Jarrett get his big payday.

I see a good season from Jarrett, but not re-signed by Hurney.

I think you have to be careful by judging DJ based on the past. DJ was 20 as a rookie, and is only a year older than our rookie WRs now. Jake didn't throw to Jarrett much, and, lets be honest, Jarrett was not going 100% because he didn't know the playbook as well as he should. If Davidson's new three and four WR sets create a simpler job for Jarrett, he should show dramatic improvement. Now he has a QB who is familiar with him. Now he doesn't have a seasoned veteran over his shoulder. Now he is 24, not 20. DJ has great hands, tremendous size, and mediocre speed and is historically a poor to mediocre route runner. If he gets cut, he will get snatched up and become a decent to good player for some other team.

It will be a mistake to cut this guy. I will say it now. Davidson and Fox are not exactly WR developers.

Yup just like Mike Williams developed so well in the NFL...... Jarrett is ether lazy or not talented enough. Take you pick they end at the same destination.

Mike Williams also ate himself into an offensive linemans body....FWIW Williams has really caught on with the Seahawks and reports say he is down to 220 and has been impressive in workouts and OTA's.....

DJ will be better this year. Think about this , Miles Austin down in Dallas took four years to develop. This will be his fifth season. DJ will be Matt Moores got to guy even before Steve Smith. Thats right remember that I said so.

But Miles Austin is fast...
