Sounds like Cleveland is pretty head-in-the-sand about the situation, so I suspect a TC holdout that goes into the season, ultimately leading to Garrett going for substantially less than Cleveland could probably get now.

I read an article that said the Giants and Titans have already talked about swapping picks.  If that happens, the Giants would take Ward--I think they take Ward even if they sign Rodgers.  Cleveland then would be in a pickle-they could take Carter over Sanders--giving Tennessee a choice between the two Colorado players, depending on who they sign as a vet QB---they want Darnold and have nearly $70m in cap room....As you say, this is getting spicy.

I think a lot depends on how the FA options shake out. Vegas was a team that a lot had tied to drafting a QB and they went and got the best QB option available, not that anyone really knew it was an option, rather than attempt a move up. So it's gonna be about who thinks of those two rookie options is "the guy."

IMO, purely speculation, but I think Giants go veteran. Namely because Daboll is on the hot seat. Rookie QB is typically not a good idea for a hot seat coach.

If TEN wants Carter, I see them sticking put or swapping with CLE who they leverage to outbid NYG. 

Daboll/Schoen are probably screwed if they can’t get to 1. They’ll end up with Wilson or Rodgers.

I would say they are probably more screwed if they end up with a rookie QB. That poo only lasts about a season and then your "but, but, but I had a rookie QB!" argument goes away forever.

It might buy them a season, at most.
