When has the NFL cared about what the fans think?

Exactly what I thought. Sign up 100,000,000 if you think it will make a difference. The players really will have to accept the changes or the lockout will happen. You think they give a sh*t what fans think? I hope if they do have a lock out that the NFL will not budge an inch. Even if it means a couple of years of no football and then starting over.

yep.

it's obvious the fans won't be happy. they will probably lose some fans...for a little while but there will be other fans that pop up into their place. everyone else will come back eventually.

tickets will still sell. jerseys will still sell. everything will still sell and they will still make a lot of money either way.

if it's going to happen or not happen will have nothing to do with what the fans say. one thing is sure, fan reaction is going to be something either side uses to show they are in the right and that the other side better agree to a deal soon.

i really do wish that a lot of this energy could be put to something that is really important, though. NFL taking a break for a year while a bunch of millionaire players get in a pissing match with a few billionaire owners isn't all that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.
