Man, I am jealous.

We lost all of ours when it got crazy hot a few weeks ago....didn't cool down enough at night to keep them alive.

Not if you do it right. Up till my early 20's thats all I knew. Best veggie soup ever and sauces and junk were awesome.

Pressure cooker, and jars and some know how and you are gold.

I've made salsa. I've made marinara. I have been eating BLT's every day and I still have way too many tomatoes. Any other ideas?

Odd....just had sausage and meatballs with sauce that the wife made from the excess amount of tomatoes from our garden. The rest I plan on bringing to Asheville and throwing them at you while you sleep.

Not for amatures. But very doable.

-place 4 or 5 tomatoes on a cutting board.

-make horizontal cuts up the tomatoes, but not all the way through.

-chop them vertically, dicing evenly.

-rake them into the trash because tomatoes suck.

San Marzano tomatoes are the best for marinara sauce.

I would just keep doing what your doing. Try different salads see if you discover a new favorite dish.

Something is getting all of my tomatoes. The plants aren't doing that well in the first place, so it's frustrating when I go out to pick the few ripe ones and find them riddled with holes.

I've seen hornworms out there. I take them off when I see them, but sometimes it's hard to spot them.

I do, however, have a veritable poo-ton of cherry tomatoes.
