They sound like they would make you poo a lot!:nono:

Only coffee does that trick for me. The only bad thing about the Jalapeno ones is that sometimes, if you're an over-zealous seed popper like me, the seasoning can clump together at the back of your throat causing a hellish CS gas effect.

Just stop. I stopped smoking cigs cold turkey. If you need something in your mouth all the time, you might need more than a replacement product....just sayin'

See, I'm a flavor guy. I started dipping because, to me, wintergreen and straight tasted delicious. Then after about a year, I started getting cravings and it just snowballed out of control. I can't stand water because there isn't flavor to it. And if there is, its bad. Flavored water is pointless, I'd rather get a soda or gatorade. Gum and sunflower seeds have good flavor, so hopefully it will help me through the nicotine cravings, then once those pass I will be fine. Idle time is killing me right now. I've had one dip today, and about 20 pieces of gum.

I just need to get busy. Never thought I'd see the day where I'm praying for school to start back.

I stopped smoking cold turkey also.

I started dipping about a year later. I don't dip anywhere near a can a day, can't imagine how much dipping that is, crazy. I go through about a can a week. I will tell you that trying to stop dipping is a lot harder than trying to stop smoking.

I don't know why, possibly has something to do with the nicotene content and how it is pretty much straight-lined to your system.

Good luck bro, know that I am in this boat with you trying to quite.

Good to know, bro. It's getting later, I've only had 2 today...really want this third one. So tempting.

I have heard from a ton of different people, and its always the same number, but 1 "healthy" (you know, quality. Nice, big, 1 hour pinch) pinch is equivalent in nicotine to about 7 cigarettes. How accurate that is, IDK. I have only heard from numerous of close friends and college professors.

As far as a can a day...I'll put it this way. Get a fresh can. Take about 1/5 or 1/6 a pinch. That's usually how I roll. My first year of college, I was doing over a can a day. I realized quickly my gums couldn't take that. haha

I would say that a dip is equivelant to 6-7 smokie treats, sounds about right.

If you were dipping a can a day, you are in for some hard times to break this habit. Willpower out the wahzoo is what its gonna take. I am sure that you can do it, just gotta stay strong.

First do you smoke pot? Cause I dipped for over a year and then got high a couple times and the cotton mouth made me not dip and I got over the habit. Sunflower seeds tear the balls out of your mouth I'd rather dip. Gum blows. Try Snus. Try cuttin down on the size of your dips too or taking bigger dips to dip less often. Also dip your dips longer and you can always move em to the upper cheek (weird I know but gets a lot of spit) Good luck

mind over matter...if you truly want to quit...you will. If you aren't 100% convinced, you won't!

get yourself to 100% and it will be easy.

Yeah, that's the big thing. You just get so used to doing things at certain points of the day. I've had 1 today. Haven't had a big craving since. I just know when the Braves game comes on I'm going to want one and that voice in my head will say "c'mon. it won't kill you! you're in great health and your mouth and gums are holding up! go for it!"

Damn addictions, man. I know I want to quit, just have to stick with it. Not give in to myself.

Jesus, thank God I'm not giving up masturbation. I'd be SOL.

giving up masturbation is just wrong...no real good reason for it!!!

giving up dip...could be saving your life...saving $$$...I and others that don't dip find it to be disgusting, so you win there if you quit...lots of good reasons to quit.

Gum, candy, seeds...all help....but your mind is the #1 tool for quitting anything.

google some mouth cancer pics and slap them on your fridge...just to remind yourself what you might get

I dip too.....Kodiak. A good friend of mine did the "cold turkey thing" and it worked. However it was only after he had went to the dentist and got some really bad news. He had some spots in his lip that looked to be the first stages of cancer spots. (at least that was what he was told). He stopped for over three years. Sadly he turned back to it a year ago when his son killed himself. Chew is really hard to kick. Good luck bud!

Ive tried a few times, but always found an excuse to go back to it. Its a nasty ass habit and I really do hate it, but its like crack or something. I'm at two cans a day. I have a problem. Hope you can do it man.
