Article detailing Lebron's free agency choice

Accuracy is debatable without proof.

Its far from accurate and a HUGE reach. The best dirt the haters can come up with is LeBron "almost" was kicked off Team USA 2 years ago? And we're just reporting it now. Yeah Im sure David Stern and Phil Knight were down with that 1.

1 minute he's selfish, the next minute he's not an alpha male. LeBron needs to hurry up and punch a teammate or catch a felony so we can outright call him a thug. If he's as bad as the article tries to portray him then the entire league, owners, GMs, fans, media alike wouldntve been kissing his ass all summer. He wouldnt be a 2 time undisputed MVP. If he's such a headache and cancer why was everyone begging this man to come play for their franchise? Why is he getting so much coverage and attention in the offseason? Because he's the King and he's great at what he does and he can fuel an entire US city's economy.

These "smear campaign" articles are weak and predictable. The real reason people (primarily NBA owners) are upset is because LeBron, Bosh, & Wade successfully used their leverage and power to go to the team of their choice. Most of the time, its the GMs with that power, but these guys did something that hadnt been done before and had the whole sports world at their feet begging to kiss their ass. Even Jordan in his last days as a Bull, after all he did, had nowhere near the authority or power LeBron just displayed. Jordan & Pipp had to fight hard for their money their entire careers as Bulls, and management pulled the plug when they deemed it necessary. LeBron boldly did what few athletes can, and people resent him for it. Its like Jesse said and Howard Stern confirmed, LeBron really is seen as a "runaway slave" that insulted his "slavemaster" when he put his interests above Dan Gilberts.

The runaway slave reference is a bit heavy handed, what Lebron is going through definitely doesn't compare to the underground railroad.

But...it does have its correlations. Much like college basketball.

Really, I think the only two parties complaining are Cleveland fans and Kobe fans, the latter upset because their idol's dynasty may be over after two years.

I'm not ready to crown Miami yet though. They still have to learn to play together as a team.
