Let’s ask AI: If I bought something for 1 dollar that is really worth 99 cents, am I getting fleeced? It depends on a few things: What is it? If it’s something like a plastic spoon, a single sticker, or a small candy that usually costs a few cents when bought in bulk, then yeah—you might be overpaying. Where did you buy it? A convenience store, vending machine, or tourist spot might charge $1 for the convenience or novelty. Are you okay with the price? Sometimes people pay more for ease, packaging, or just not caring to hunt for a cheaper option. So, are you getting fleeced? Maybe a little. But sometimes a dollar isn’t worth the hassle of worrying too much—unless it starts adding up. What did you buy? -
