just looked at the coverage map, and sprint is good as long as you are in a city of substantial size, and/or close to a highway.

We got my wife off of Sprint in June, had to pay a bit but it was well worth it to get off of that network. Shoddy coverage, horrible customer service, and they make you wait forever if you have a phone problem. Anywhere else just trades you a new phone and doesn't bother with it. They pay more for the tech's time in salary than the phone costs to make.

Yeah, reading the forums is almost a full time gig. Now that I have 2.2, I'm going to see what all I can do to ROM and root it.

the touchscreen on the Droid X is supposed to be big enough so that typing isn't as hard as the iPhone.. which was my only concern with a touchscreen only...

however, I still, unfortunately, have my BB... I have too many debts at the moment to pull the trigger, and need to get this biz going...

Bleys you sound like you're in the same boat I am.. I love my Blackberry for my biz email, but the web and other stuff is completely out of reach with a BB.

I love the X, but I was really impressed with the Droid 2 as well. They've really improved the keypad on it which is a nice feature, but the X's screen is so big, typing isn't an issue...

Off topic but is anyone having issues with the battery life on the Droid 1? Mine lasted about 4 hours today with hardly any talking, web or downloading on it.....
