Yea I agree. Especially since it was so utterly blatant. I'd rather him go to the Kings than the Devils. Hopefully they can get back in the mix.

This is just getting absurd. The Devils and Kovalchuk sent the NHL a framework for a deal they had reached and the NHL told them that they would not approve it. It seems the Devils are dead-set in circumventing the salary cap.

Kovalchuk and the Devils have submitted a new deal to the League for approval. No specifics right now, but it is reported that the contract is in the 15-year $100 million range.

Not a lot different from the previous one turned down it seems, but it all depends on when the money is to be received.
