A half a million dollars is a joke in the NFL. Just because you or I don't make that much money doesn't mean that NFL players that play a very high level shouldn't be making millions and millions. Just how the world works.

When he signed his contract he agreed to play up to his very best ability for a certain amount of money for a certain number of years. His didn't agree to play only up to 85% of his ability because any more than that would be contributing more than what he's being paid. He agreed to the contract so he should be a man and honor it instead of refusing to play if he doesn't receive what he thinks he's worth.

If the team feels he has earned more money, then they should give it to him. But since he agreed to the contract he shouldn't be demanding more.
