Agent Drew Rosenhaus 'very confident' Terrell Owens will be signed soon

Terrell Owens remains unsigned but that might change soon, according to agent Drew Rosenhaus.

Rosenhaus texted ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that he was "very confident" that Owens, who played for the Buffalo Bills last season, will have a new team "within the next few weeks."

In an appearance on ESPN's "NFL Live" last week, Rosenhaus said five teams were interested in Owens. However, the San Diego Chargers aren't one of them, despite Vincent Jackson being suspended three games by the NFL and threatening to hold out over his contact situation.

Just throwing out theories..

We know he's not going to a team that won't at least contend for a title, so you can count out teams like Rams, Browns, Bills, Chiefs, Bucs, Lions, etc.

Patriots and Chargers are 2 teams who aren't interested(if there are more, let me know.) Saints/Bengals/Eagles/49ers/Jets/Dolphins/Giants/Dallas/Cardinals/Ravens/Vikings/Packers/Colts all are either set at WR or have a history/management that just doesn't work for TO.

I'm not sure who the Texans have at #2, but they might be a team interested. Steelers need a solid WR, but their management is like ours so it's a very slim chance for either of us.

My guess is he'll end up signing with the Bears. One of their biggest needs is WR and they have the potential to contend if they can get their passing offense going.

Of course his agent thinks he'll get signed soon. What kind of agent would he be if he said "Yeah, there's no chance this sonofabitch is getting signed anytime soon. I sure hope a team has some massive injury problems at WR and that opens a spot for my boy."

And we should care why?? Unless he is for sure going to sign with carolina. Then why should carolina fans care where he goes. He is old and his production has really fallen off in the past few years. Not really worried about him.

you're not new, you should be used to this

Why do we know that? Owens would be lucky to find a job this season; I don't think he'll be too picky. I mean, he played for the Bills last year, right?

This year is different. He signed with the Bills after being released for being a douche. He spent a year in Buffalo with awful and inconsistent quarterback play/coaching/etc and put up pretty decent numbers, WHILE staying under the radar in the media and not causing problems.
