The reason we dissapoint

Our run game is this teams heart beat... We need it to win ball games, and everybody says its a guarenteed lock to be effective all season...Deangello and Jstew didnt go over 100 yds each until week 6 vs tampa, and jstew again until week 13...theres games where both are averaging 2.2 yds. Then our run game comes along too late and we find ourselves playing catch up, and finishing 8-8 but rushing for 182 yds a game to finish the season. We need to start off alot faster this year with our run game. It ALWAYS looks muddled and sloopy for the first 4-5 games. If you want to be a playoff team every year 4-5 games is forcing you to play perfect down the stretch. Even look at the stats for 2 years ago it was the same trend.

The run will start to open up if teams have to consider TEs coming open across the middle. Having a QB who can loosen up the LBs and back off some of the DBs in the box is going to help. Watching some of the early games, teams were just stacking up against the run because they had about as little concern for Delhomme as possible.

run game was fine week 1. The stats are misleading as once the game was over thanks to Jake the stats got skewed and they looked less effective. Only one team imo really bottled up the ground game that was Washington last year. Fox and Jake and the Redkins were the only people who figured out how to stop the ground attack.
