Not one day goes by that I don't miss my baby. His ashes are now resting in box that is always close by.

My condolences on you losing yours. He was a great part of your life and it's never easy to say goodbye...what an adorable cat. 20 years is an awesome time and not impossible. My oldest cat lived to 17 but she was an outdoor alley cat who could give any dog a good wallop or slice down the nose.

Cats have way more personality and substance than a lot of people give them credit for. Heaven is filled with our former friends, feline and canine, who are waiting to see us again. I believe that....and today is hard but with time, you'll remember all the funny and quirky things he used to do and you'll be ok.

i didn't want to keep his ashes, i've always found that unnerving. but i have the bed he slept in for a million years. my next kitten will sleep in it and i'll tell him stories of our adventures.

Your next kitten will be a lucky cat, as I am sure Sam was. I hope there is comfort in knowing that you gave Sam a great life.

i hate this type of thread but it's a rough night and it's easier to vent at people who don't know me.

he caught a cold and was too old to fight it off and the vet said he was just letting go.

he liked cigars and underage prostitutes. and he would sit on my shoulder like he was a parrot.

the dog is hovering over her bone and looking around at sam's empty bed wondering why nobody is trying to sniff it.

I don't know if you live around Charlotte or not. It maybe too early as well, but my nighbor's cat just had kittens if you are interested. They wont be ready for a few more weeks. Free to a good home. I'll even throw in 3 out of 4 pack of Mic Ultra in aluminum bottles!

i just got a card from the vet with his inked pawprint in it. wasn't expecting that, pretty awesome.

if you ever find yourself living in south eastern VA, use Poquoson Veterinary Hospital. they've made everything outstandingly smooth and easy.

Very sorry about your cat. I love them and they do a great job of returning it. Three dogs and three cats at this zoo and I wouldn't trade any of them for anything.
