Does ANYONE?

I was reminded of the lone Randy Fasani start a few years ago against Tampa Bay. That at the time was the worst performance that I had seen from an NFL QB. Considering the situation and what was at stake, I would say that Jake choked on the grandest scale, and that might have been the worst game I have ever seen.

Trust Jake Delhomme?

That was the poorest performance I've ever seen from an NFL QB.

I do not see how the players can have ANY confidence in him now.

A fellow by the name of Steve Smith says he does, and he's not alone.

The team doesn't see things the way fans do, nor should they.

I've questioned whether he should come back, but if the coaches and his teammates are still firmly behind him after the disaster they saw last night, then his respect in the locker room must be off the charts.

Fan opinions will mean nothing in this discussion.

I don't trust Davidson to do what got the team where they are (were)anymore. I swear these coaches out think themselves. And think they have to change instead of dancing with the one that brought you. I really hope Davidson learned his lesson and when the passing game isn't working.....

RUN THE DAMN BALL!

Bye weeks do not treat Jake or the team well. Never have, never will. If I'm Fox I learn from this and try NOT to get a bye week in the postseason ever again while Jake is at the helm. A #3/4 seed is the best spot for us to be in..

Why some other team has bye week can keep rolling, not us?

Anyone who has watched the Panthers since 03 knows that Delhomme is going to have these types of games. It's just the type of player he is. Keeping him as your #1 is setting yourself up for the risk of having him plunk just such a performance down in the playoffs. Until John Fox decides it isn't worth the gamble, it's a coin flip as to whether Delhomme is going to play well or not. More times than not, Delhomme plays well. This season, we had an awesome ground game and were even able to cover for him when he took a big poo. In the one-and-done playoffs he's a risk. He always will be. Thing is, I have zero confidence in a John Fox staff being able to groom any young player to do any better than what Delhomme does.

That's gospel spoken right there! Couldn't agree more. A tougher defense would help to nullify the one of the "two jakes" we always hope won't show up but sometimes does...like last night!
