So who made beason apologize to TO and Why?

No need to apologize and he didn't apologize - he clarified his statement. He never said HE didn't want TO but said that based on the philosophy of the FO, that TO wouldn't be a Panther due to locker room issues "for whatever reason". People make a mountain out of a mole hill and have no reading comprehension.

Welcome to the world of blogs. Reading comprehension needs to be sacrificed in order to fill up the blog with news everyday.

Panthers LB Jon Beason said he’s sorry about his comments concerning Terrell Owens, in which he objected to the receiver’s possible presence in Carolina.

“I have to apologize for my comments regarding TO,” Beason wrote. “I personally would want him on our team in Carolina. He’s been a great WR for a very long time and will without a doubt be a hall of famer.

what was that about no reading comprehension?

i'm willing to bet it was the panthers front office.

Highly unlikely.

The safer bet is this guy.

Rosenhaus represents both Beason and Owens. Right now, he's having a hard enough time finding work for Owens. He certainly didn't need statements like the ones Beason made.

now this is didn't know. i don't keep up with agents.

it makes sense.

Pretty much.

Owens isn't what he once was on the field, and that was the only thing that made teams willing to try to put up with his antics.

Nobody thinks he's worth it anymore, especially not at the salary he wants (5 million a year).

Beyond that, given their philosophy this season, even if Owens weren't a locker room cancer I seriously doubt the Panthers would look at him.

(someone will probably come on and argue that they should, but there's really no good logic behind that idea at all)

The original comment needed no apology. The reading comprehension came from that. He apologized for how it came across because people "read into" his comments. Any intelligent poster on here who has SOME knowledge of how the Panthers' organization works, knows that TO would never come here - Beason pretty much stated that ownership wouldn't bring him in.

He didn't diss TO - actually, he kind of defended him by saying "for whatever reason" that TO was a locker room distraction. He didn't say "TO is a locker room distraction", just a perception that Beason didn't really know why.

    • Kraven has awful shitty comic book movie vibes all over it. It's just more of whatever studio owns the rights to the Spiderman set, but no longer actually has Spiderman anymore. Wicked is probably no more enjoyable. 3 hour long musicals are tough to endure.

    • The Giants games are an interesting comparison for sure. We could compare the Chiefs vs the Bucs as well, since at least both teams are largely the same as they are now, rather than the Giants whose coach lost his mind after losing to us. 30-24 KC in overtime. Hunt had 106 yards and Mahomes had 291. Baker threw for 200 yards, but 2 TDs. Their leading rusher had 25 yards or something. Our offense outperformed what the Bucs did vs KC, but being a division game we won't have the benefit of being overlooked. If our D plays how it did in the 4th quarter I think we can get some stops.  Can Bryce carry a second game? I'd rather not find out and have Chuba carry the load, but we'll see.
