I'll take 12-4 than a mediocre 8-8 year. This year was miles better than the past two, it was a great ride until it abruptly ended last night. I really think we can build on this and the team will find something positive out of this loss eventually, I know it's cliche, and it sounds like total bullshit right now, but the team will build off this and it will make us better.

It really is unfortunate because we had some amazing talent and I feel bad for guys like Beason, Deangelo, Smitty, etc. But hopefully they'll use that as motivation to get back to this position and succeed in it. Thinking about the season in review, it was arguably the most successful and entertaining regular season the Panthers have ever had. Obviously the 2003 team went to the Super Bowl, but I really believe that we are better than that team, and we'll be back in the post-season next year.

The 03 team had a defense. That was the BIG difference.

I think we will be dangerous next year in the playoffs. You better bet this will weigh on the players minds. I think it will make them work harder.

Oh yeah, without a doubt. Our 03 defense was pretty studly, I mean we won the NFC title game 14-3. The reason we made it this far with that defense was because of our amazing running game.

And yes, I agree, this will motivate the players for as long as they are Panthers.

Unless we get a new energized DC that can get the max out of what we got... next year is the standard 8-8, 7-9 under the fox regime....

If you havent noticed, since there are only 4-6 PREMIRE QB's in the WHOL;E league, they just arent that easy to come by.

Manning, Brady, Rivers, Brees, Warner, and yes even McNabb.

I personally believe these starting QB's would be a huge upgrade to this squad.(other than listed above)

Hasselbeck, Palmer, Shaub, and Rogers.

So really there are only 10 QB's in my mind that would be an upgrade over Jake.

The thing you have to consider though, is that you may have a better QB and not even know it.

I mean you may have the next "premier" QB and not even know it.

Dont forget Leftwitch. I think he was a scapegoat for del rio, although u never know what he was like as a team mate. He can definitely deliver he ball.

Only one of those guys entered the league as an undrafted free agent. Huh! Who would have thought that with all this "drafting QBs is not smart" junk going around Pantherland?

Shaun Hill, Tyler Thigpen, Matt Ryan, Seneca Wallace, Jay Cutler, Chad Pennington, Kerry Collins and Matt Cassell all outplayed Jake this year as well.
