If I asked you.......

It was interesting to hear the comments of my friends in Raleigh watching the game on TV while I was at the stadium.

To quote them, 'it looked like the team quit' and as I watch the replay today on TIVO, it sure looked like a lot of 'going through the motions'.

To me, a head coach makes adjustments, a head coach encourages, a head coach also gets in the face of players who are not producing DURING the game.

AK, again, with all respect, we can agree to disagree.

Again, if everyone is satisfied with a one and done and a horrible performance at home, that's fine.

I'm not.

If you asked me if I'd rather have a team that was 12-4 and one and done in the playoffs vs 9-7 and not one in done in the playoffs, I'd take the 9-7 team, wouldn't you?

Agreed.

Always enjoy your posts AK. I can question many things about the Panthers.

I can never question your loyality to the Panthers.

It is incredibly embarrassing to lose like that at home, to spend $300 on a ticket, drive 8 hours, have a National TV audience, an owner that probably has another year or two left, and see that effort.

It's not that we lost after making the playoffs though... It's how we lost. I could've even accepted a close game that they pulled out in the end, like against the Giants... It lets me walk away as a fan with some dignity. That's didn't happen last night. I get what you're saying AK, but it's just hard to swallow this one.

Not the point... the team still had a great season.

We went 12 and 4 and got a home playoff game... it was exciting and fun to watch... a lot of teams and their fans didnt have that opportunity...

Okay. So the point is ignore last night because we were lucky to be there in the first place, therefore we shouldn't be pissed that we got blown out?

Not quite... last night sucked... I am as upset as anyone about the loss... but you still have to admit it was a good season for our team... I'd take this years results over last years any day... Hell last year our season was over in December and we were essentially playing just to play with no hopes of the playoffs at all.

It just helps to keep it in perspective. But in no way does that mean that you should ignore or not be upset about how our team played last night...

I did not say that having decent arm strength was the only requirement.

Joe Flacco has tremendous arm strength.

Should we have drafted him?

Maybe, but maybe not. He appears to work pretty well for Baltimore's system - no doubt about that. I've supported Jake for a long time and last night was the first time I've called for his head. But today (sober) I got to talking with some buddies and...is there really anything else better out there RIGHT NOW. I think we look to the future but I'm ok with Jake being the starter next year.
