So its still the status quo. There's a chance that it happens, but an equal or greater chance that it doesn't. Either way, its nice to know MJ is working hard at improving the team, and that there are several back-up plans ready to go.

No, because by 3 A.M. he will have been informed by his buddy if its through or not. He doesn't want to say if the deal has gone through yet because he is not 100% sure yet and won't be until his buddy that works with the Bobcats lets him know.

He said from the beginning that we'd know by Friday, and he'd let us know what was supposed to happen if it didn't go down by the end of today. 3AM our time is midnight in Vegas, where the GM meetings are taking place. He's a well-respected member of the community and a writer for other blogs. Continuously moving the deadline would hurt his credibility, and he knows that. He hasn't changed his story once.
