Just opened up my 2010-2011 new quotes for health insurance for all my employees. Same plan as always...27% increase. Haven't seen these kind of increases since the first few years after 9/11.

My company renews in September. We already have a $500 monthly premium, and $5000 deductible for a family plan. With a diabetic wife, I shudder to think what it is going to be increased to. My family is on the knife's edge for money right now, and a huge increase could cause significant problems for us.

she has a greencard and she is just going to keep it that way. Just in case and for my daughter also. she also has the medical card that they issued a long time ago that has no expire date.

I might be wrong on this... but I didn't see anything in the reform legislation that will cap premiums or deductibles.
