You know that's the main reason why the rigs are so far out (environmetal concerns) and as a result why it took so long to fix. A rig much closer in would have been fixed much sooner. The complexity came in as a result of the depth of the rupture.

To answer your question--allow to decompose. It's nature's form of recycling!

Actually your hard core environmetalists are "preservationist" and not "conservationists". I'm for conservation and defintiely am NOT an environmentalist.

That's the reason they want to SAVE everything. They generally don't grasp the notion of evolvement with or without human intervention. They think that without humans trees would grow forever and no species of plant or animal would ever go extint, which is total B.S.!

I'm not an environmentalist, but I'm a crazy about recycling. I got really annoyed today at work seeing one of our consultants throwing his plastic bottles in the garbage. I actually took them out and put them in our recycling bin. I guess that is the least I can do.

I actually sat in on a Dogwood Alliance meeting once as extra credit for a class. They actually thought the planet would be "treeless" by 2030. Not from like a nuclear holocaust or anything catastrophic globally, but purely from logging!

They looked amazed when I chuckled.

Reminds me of when I graduated from college. I got a call at work one day and was asked to join MENSA.

I asked them what did their members ever do? The guy said that MENSA members were among the most prestigious members of "think tanks" in the world. (That and $5.00 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.) I turned them down.
