If he can become a light beer version of Star, I'd seriously consider him.  Star was underappreciated for what he was; a space eater that kept OL players off of Luke, so that Luke could make great plays

IDL can have a similar impact for ILBs as IOL have for a RB/QB. Vastly underrated role.

Person has first hand info---nice.  Did he ask him about the weight loss and PEDs?  Out of curiosity, how many Huddlers are concerned about this?  I would research this thoroughly before taking him.

You expect person to ask if he took drugs?   Goddamn dude

The issue was out and he would have given him a chance to respond to it.  So yes, dude, I would have asked for his response.  No need to curse about it.  Its going to be OK.

No offense but that's next level retarded

Now we are in your area of expertise.  I was a journalist for 5 newspapers before changing my career.  I am not going to defend common sense by responding to the most juvenile person on this board--you immediately attack the person if you disagree.  Grow up and stop being a bitch all the time.  No offense.

That tracks that you aren't a journalist any more with that type of mindset to ask those kind of questions

It's not common sense to ask someone if they were taking illegal drugs

And for the record he was asked about

It doesn't seem like it would be that hard for a 320 pound guy to lose 20 pounds.  Is there a reason to believe this guy is Tony Mandarich?

You are a POS.  Don't tell me how to do a job you never did.  You just make poo up and then make poo up defending your idiocy.  I said ask him to respond to the fact that he lost weight and that rumor was spreading.   Just stop it and grow up-Learn that there are other opinions and that you are not always right--that is part of growing up.  Be an adult for once.

How would you ask the question?  Specially

I heard it was more than 20 at the time.  However, it did cause a rumor to spread, and by asking the player about it, it gives him the opportunity to explain why and how he lost the weight, dispelling a rumor that could cost him millions.  If he can't, then that might suggest there is some validity to the accusations. If you were innocent of the allegation, you would sure want the press to open that door.

    • Whatever. I am so ready to not see any more mock drafts until there is a draft worth talking about in the 1st. Even the top 2 guys in this draft are underwhelming in comparison.
    • I'm having a hell of a time trying to make projections for Carolina due to the giant question mark that is Jacksonville. Looking over their roster, they're a prime candidate to trade back. Most of the top prospects are going to be at positions they've already made investments in and are getting returns on: RB (Jeanty) - Travis Etienne (2021 1st), Tank Bigsby (2023 3rd) OT (Membou) - Walker Little (2021 2nd), Anton Harrison (2023 1st) TE (Warren) - Brenton Strange (2023 2nd) DT (Graham) - Davon Hamilton (2020 3rd), Maason Smith (2024 2nd), Jordan Jefferson (2024 4th), Arik Armstead LB (Walker) - Foyesade Oluokun, Devin Lloyd (2022 1st), Chad Muma (2022 3rd), Ventrell Miller (2023 4th) EDGE (Walker) - Travon Walker (2022 1st), Josh Hines-Allen (2019 1st) Looking at the investments already made, if the Jags were too go with one of those positions I could see them leaning towards a rotational edge rusher or an upgrade at tight end for TLaw. Their most pressing need (imo) is at CB. I could also see them looking to go WR as well, but all scenarios point to the optimal outcome for the Jags to be move back, acquire more draft capital, and take the best prospect rather than the most needed position. This spirals a bit when I start to try and figure out what Carolina will do. If Warren or Graham falls to them they will have to determine whether or not they're better off passing on them and getting extra depth from this class. Trying to read the tea leaves, I think that they've made peace with that and are willing to move back and look to take either the best SLB or WLB available (Mykel Williams or Donovan Ezeiruaku, imo).
