Panthers record prediction thread

Eh were not bad but Im sure we are gonna have some injuries to our Dline and Oline this year cause we are so thin there so Im gonna say 8-8 or better. I think we will find out just how good of a coach Fox and his staff is this year. Young players need good coaches.

My prediction hasn't changed since the start of offseason PTPR thread months ago, which is 7-9 to 9-7. The schedule is one of the easiest in recent memory and the ONLY reason I'm saying no fewer wins than seven. Nine losses come in the scenario that the passing game continues to sputter and the offense can't overcome the point totals the opposing team puts up. Mark my words, with the lack of a run 'D', the defense will allow a mimimum of 21 points a game except for the Rams' and Browns' games. The onus is on the offense to outscore the opposing team's 'O' each game. In other words, no defensive battles this year.

I don't get why people think the schedule is so easy, especially the easiest in recent memory. We have the rams, Bucs, Browns, and seahawks with terrible records.

A lot of the better teams we play like the Bengals, Ravens, and Steelers have very modest records.

The Falcons, Bears, and Giants are all teams with mediocre records considered on the up and up.

The Cardinals are the only good team considered in decline.

Of course things change but the schedule isn't as easy as that 26th ranking indicates.

Rams, Browns, Bucs x 2. Okay, there's 4 that if we lose any fan should be PISSED. Next, the Cards, 49er's and Seahawks are all games that can be had. I'm still not buying the 49er playoff hype. That's seven right there that are not top elite teams. Cincy was a fluke last year and are about on par with us. That's eight. If you take out the Saints 2x, Ravens and Steelers, those are the only games where we will be heavy 'dogs...maybe the Giants(unwarranted). So yes, our schedule is as easy as it looks. The probelm is we don't have the team to take FULL advantage of it.

I expected a lot of 8-8 predictions. Some of you guys are on crack.

Panthers are way below average at DL, WR and special teams. They are slightly below average at QB, TE, LB (without Davis), and DB. They are above average at OL and way above average at RB.

That's a lot of pressure on the running game, especially with no one to stop the other team's rushing attack. One injury and you're looking at 3-13. And guess what? RBs get injured a lot.

No d line catches up to them. With a lack of leadership due to so many vets moving on, that also catches up.

3-5 wins is all I see.

The best case scenario for the Panthers is winning those first two games. We have seen in the past when they start off like that, good things seem to happen.

worst case 3-13/ best case 8-8
