Jake will be better next season.

He will come back stronger next season.

Well poo since you know the future, your to blame for this loss.

Why didn't you call up the panthers and tell them what Jake would do if he threw the ball too much, or hell at least tell Turd the AZ game plan.

It was a pleasure meeting you in person.... I use to be a staunch #17 supporter but unless he brings a Lombardi to the city of Charlotte then what he did yesterday goes down as one of the biggest failures in Charlotte sports history. He had at his disposal one of the best running games in the league, an all world WR, a capable #2 WR all of these weapons and he still managed 5 picks and one fumble. I have seen great QB's do way more with much less, yesterday's loss was solely on him and the failure of this season was solely on him.

I enjoyed meeting you as well (and kicking your ass in Madden). I had to give you a jab for the burning of the jersey. Don't sell him out so quick. I don't blame the loss entirely on Jake. I think the coaches are to blame as well. This team isn't about one guy. They are all to blame, coaches included. Like the others have said, untill there is a better option, I'm throwing my support behind Jake.

I must go now, all this talk of 17 makes me want Bojangles.

So.....how come no one is blaming the defense too? Especially our secondary with how they keep letting Fitz get away with it. It always the blame on a QB when the defense didn't help either. :toetap05:

Sorry if I was just trying to be a little positive.

I am not blind. I know Jake sucked A** last night.

The defense has sucked ass the entire second half of the season.

Of course we all want that Turd gone.

We should start a petition :mad5:

Let's look at this game historically. Worst loss by home team in divisional round since 1990. Jake's career high in interceptions. First postseason home loss for the Panthers. So if this was just a bad game by everybody, then keep everyone except Turd, and say if we don't win NFC championship next year, overhaul everybody and bring in Cowher or Shanahan. Let's be realistic, 2nd hardest schedule next yr. We probably won't make the playoffs next year due to competiveness of schedule. Losses do carry over from season to season. So nothing to lose keeping the staff next year.

Jake will be better next season. People forget this is his first year back since major elbow surgery. He will come back stronger next season, with another year with his arm recovering.

He didnt have a bad season. Just a bad game at a bad time. I feel he will be better next year also though.

The question is not if Delhomme is suddenly terrible or not of course he is still the same QB after the total failure last night.

But is the 2009 Delhomme head and shoulders better than Moore or McCown?? We could save a lot of cap space by letting Delhomme go and some of those money could be sent towards the defense ( Big Al, Aso etc etc ).

So is Moore/McCown plus Big Al a better solution than Delhomme?

I've never liked jake as a qb. He seems like a nice guy and all but being nice doesn't win football games. He should be 2nd string at the best. Most of his better performances were more luck and the skills of his teammates that from his "skills". He should have been gone long ago.

Quote me all the stats you want but those stats are all due to the quality of his teammates. The Panthers should have replaced him years ago.

Yeah, he had the sh*ttiest game that he has ever had. Yes, I felt physically sick after the 5th interception. But he is still my guy.

Some of you have sworn him off. Others have burned his jersey in a wheel barrow ( dude, for real...). Not me. When I got home, i took my jersey off off, shook my head, and hung it up. I haven't forgotten what all number 17 has done for us. I'm not going to bail on him now.

If you feel the same way I do, post away. If you hate the guy and wanna see him gone, please post in the numerous other threads about how awful he is.

GO JAKE GO!

Yes Jake needs to go. Some of you need to wake up and quit being Jake Delhomme fans and put the TEAM first. The best thing for this TEAM is him not QB'ing here any longer

    • Fans are fed up with this organization's endless string of failures. And, while Morgan's less than a year into his current position, everything he's done is barreling down the same path shat out by his predecessor. If we're just pointing out this alarming lack of discrepancy between the performances of two GMs, it's really not hating. He's just proving to not be a good hire. And, hey, it's alright, because whoever Tepper hires next will, at best, only suck a little bit less. I don't mind people who are optimistic and hope Morgan turns out to be better than he's been thus far. That'd be great. None of us are rooting for him to fail. However, the embarrassing pattern of decisions persists. And it's not a good look.
    • You have to view everything that was done in 2024 through the ‘eliminate excuses for Bryce Young’ lens IMO. It only makes sense that way.     If you allow for that, you will see that Diontae fulfilled his purpose.
    • The Panthers' beat writer called the Johnson trade return "a warm bottle of RC Cola." If you're quick to discount every bit of news that disagrees with your view, maybe your view is the problem. Morgan deals himself a bad hand and he deserves every bit of criticism for it. Fitterer was the worst GM ever, but Morgan is a very similar brand of awful. Certainly when it comes to trades since 2021, Morgan's body of work makes him at best, only one of the worst negotiators in the history of North American professional sports. That's simply pointing out the numerous shortcomings he's put on display. If I point at a guy who shot someone and say "he murdered a guy," I'm not hating on him -- I'm pointing out what he did. If Morgan wants to not be labeled an incompetent clown who makes 31 other franchises better, simply stop being an incompetent clown who makes 31 other franchises better. Or, wait until Tepper makes him the fall guy after Evero.
