Fox Says Jake Will Most Likely Start in 2009

Then I proved my point. Take away only 2 or 3 of our wins and we wouldn't even made the playoffs. All the whole regular season is is one long playoff round. Last time I checked, you have to have a certain record to even be eligible for the playoffs...had we lost only 2 - 3 more games than we did, we wouldn't have even been playing last night. Those are the games we HAD TO WIN in order to even get to the playoffs.

Yes, and you have to eat some sort of food, or you will die.

I don't believe that Jake's performace this season warrants him being released from the Panthers. For the most part, he was solid...not spectacular or outstanding, but solid. Only 7 other teams made it as far as the Panthers did - that says something.

Yes, it says something about our "team". However alot of that success was due to the fact that we have a great run game. The run game is a huge part of our success.

However i must disagree with Jake. In 2 games after a bye week he managed to go 24/61(39.3%) 2TDs 9INT and 1Fumble. Also most of his yards came as useless yards in the last drive with minutes left in the 4th quarter. Its too bad because our team was built well this year for the most part. However i will say its not all jakes fault, plenty of blame belongs to our coaches, they simply put together a horrible game plan. We had 2 drives that looked looked like panther football(offensively) They were the first and last drives of the game.

One thing helped is that we played some bad teams this yr i.e. DET, KC, and OAK. Those were like gimmes. For the ppl that are saying we wouldnt have been 12-4 without him...you have to understand that our running is wayyy better than last yr which takes pressure off of jake. Look at the numbers. we damn near had 30 RUSHING TD's and jake has like half of that.

I think this team is going to look different next year. Not at QB but we have several players that are going to look at what happened against the Cardinals and not want to suffer through it again with Jake. They are going to try their luck with other teams. You know we do have several free agent on the roster.

And me as well. For those who won't support him, please rewind your VHS to the 2007 seaon. Then press play.

That's what I thought.

In the end though, we do need to be drafting a QB early in the draft. Between that player and Moore, hopefully we can develop a young QB to take over, when ready.

Get off his nuts, our options were a rookie, david fuging carr or a 46 year old man. we dont need to look for a qb, MOORE.

Which of the major players are free agents?

    • Fans are fed up with this organization's endless string of failures. And, while Morgan's less than a year into his current position, everything he's done is barreling down the same path shat out by his predecessor. If we're just pointing out this alarming lack of discrepancy between the performances of two GMs, it's really not hating. He's just proving to not be a good hire. And, hey, it's alright, because whoever Tepper hires next will, at best, only suck a little bit less. I don't mind people who are optimistic and hope Morgan turns out to be better than he's been thus far. That'd be great. None of us are rooting for him to fail. However, the embarrassing pattern of decisions persists. And it's not a good look.
    • You have to view everything that was done in 2024 through the ‘eliminate excuses for Bryce Young’ lens IMO. It only makes sense that way.     If you allow for that, you will see that Diontae fulfilled his purpose.
    • The Panthers' beat writer called the Johnson trade return "a warm bottle of RC Cola." If you're quick to discount every bit of news that disagrees with your view, maybe your view is the problem. Morgan deals himself a bad hand and he deserves every bit of criticism for it. Fitterer was the worst GM ever, but Morgan is a very similar brand of awful. Certainly when it comes to trades since 2021, Morgan's body of work makes him at best, only one of the worst negotiators in the history of North American professional sports. That's simply pointing out the numerous shortcomings he's put on display. If I point at a guy who shot someone and say "he murdered a guy," I'm not hating on him -- I'm pointing out what he did. If Morgan wants to not be labeled an incompetent clown who makes 31 other franchises better, simply stop being an incompetent clown who makes 31 other franchises better. Or, wait until Tepper makes him the fall guy after Evero.
