I was thinking Luke Ridnour as a free agent possibility or use Dampier as trade bait for a better point guard than Calderon. A lot of teams were offering quite a bit for Dampier. The Mavs rejected a trade that would have sent Al Jefferson to Dallas for Dampier, but they accepted a trade that sent Tyson Chandler and Ajinca to Dallas for Dampier, Carroll, and Najera. So don't worry the Bobcats aren't done yet.

Yup, this is just a stepping-stone trade... that Dampier contract is highly coveted, bigger moves coming.
