Jake's fundamentals went down since Peete left

The one thing about Peete is that he didn't do anything stupid with the ball, and he had everyone's respect in the lockeroom. Physically he was shot, but Jake had to follow the example that Peete set because he had the respect of the lockeroom.

When Peete left, Jake became the unquestioned leader and started developing a gunslinger attitude. It was a popular attitude at the time because it worked. I mean Jake would use to throw it out of bounds. He did it a heck of a lot in 03. What Jake needs is someone with some authority constantly convincing him to bring fundamentals back to his game.

Mistakes are going to happen. It is a hard position to play. Bad games are also going to happen. Look at Joe Montana, John Elway, Dan Marino post season records, and you will see it is not perfect. But Jake has looked shell-shocked since the regular season bye. THAT is not excusable
