Here's the plan

  1. Keep the current staff intact.
  2. Keep the current roster as intact as possible.
  3. Re-sign Gross for a long term contract, which should be the top FA priority (want that continuity).
  4. Franchise Peppers if you can't re-sign him, or lock him up for a few years as well.
  5. Go out and find as many defensive linemen with promise in FA as possible, just like we did with Right Guard last year.
  6. Go into next season with a willingness to IR anyone who develops so much as a hangnail. Work HARD on player development, not so much on researching opponents.
  7. Demote Moose to our third receiver, put Jarrett in his spot (development, remember?).
  8. Cut Hackett and keep both Robinson and Jones (ditto).
  9. Cut Johnson and say hello Mr. Connor (double-ditto)
  10. Say goodbye to Delhomme, start Moore or McCown (you get the idea)
  11. With the first or second pick in the 2010 draft, the new staff will select a franchise QB.
  12. Watch the boards crash when Fox finally wins the big one with his new squad.
  13. Panthers in the Superbowl in 2012!

This has the added benefit of driving down PSL demand due to a horrible record. Combined with a poor economy, I should be able to pick up four PSLs together for a pretty good price. :D
