Bobcats close to trading Diaw, Chandler, aquiring Calderon

Wish they'd be more specific on what the Bobcats are getting.

Reggie Evans and his expiring contract will be sent to the Bobcats as part of Monday's trade between Charlotte, Toronto, and Phoenix.

Evans' game hasn't evolved over the years -- he's a bruising PF who will rebound the ball and play hard-nosed defense, but that's about it. He may actually get some burn backing up Tyrus Thomas, as Charlotte's frontcourt isn't exactly bursting with talent.

Damn, not too excited about getting him since he takes up the cap room we got by trading Chandler. We still need a center though, and now we've got Evans' expiring deal to add to Mohammad's. We're not done making moves.

Starting lineup now

Calderon

Jackson

Wallace

TT

Nazr

Improvement or not? I say yes. We get rid of Boris and his bad decisions and Felton and his bad decisions.

Considering the lack of production we got from Chandler, and that Calderon and Thomas are clear upgrades over Felton and Diaw, we've got an improved team. I don't think the trades are done though, we're going to get a starting center from somewhere.

I will say this years team should be way better Offensively then last years.

Jackson and Wallace are the 1 & 2 options, then you have Calderon who can get 15 a game and I think TT can get 14-15 a game as well with the extra playing time.

I like this trade. Calderon is very solid. Last season he was injured a lot and played on a team with serious chemistry problems. So he had a down year production wise. If we get the Calderon from two years ago, he will be an upgrade over Felton.

I definitely expect the 'Cats to make at least one more trade to get a center.
